I paid £550 including vat for the 335d - and they come to you. Very good service, Simon took the ECU out, uploaded my old map, sent it to Roy (by email) for tweaking, then downloaded the new map, verified no fault codes, reset the transmission, then we went for a drive to make sure it was all ok. Took about 3.5 hours I think. There's more info on their web site (including some references to this forum) here.

Feels like a different car - and seems incredible value for money. I decided to keep it all above board and called my insurance broker, expecting they'd be asking for an extra arm and leg, and they told me there would be no increase in premium since I'm already on a "special risk" policy. I'm so stunned by this, I've actually writen asking them to confirm that they understand I've had a remap giving an extra 64bhp.

REFERENCE CA WEBSITE:

TYPES OF REMAPPING
We offer three Options of remap format to suit different applications :

OPTION 1, STANDARD REMAP FOR OEM. The most common and least expensive format, these maps have previously been specifically formulated on dyno and road for the specific vehicle model and year of vehicle in question. We then convert the data as required to “fit” your particular version ECU/DME and upload the new programme. The prices listed towards bottom of this page and the power gains listed in the link at very bottom of the page all refer to this Standard option remap.

you had this one right???

Wilko and Vern both used Simon/e-maps and rated him highly. Their recommnedation is good for me, bearing in mind their exposure to the general tuning market, but obviously no switching available.

I don't know for sure, but I have a strong feeling it is. I've spoken to Simon about doing mine, sounds like a nice bloke, a bit far from you though (Walsall although he travels?). Wilko will know if it's the same guy, if you've got more than just a passing interest I could ask him (well, you could ask him I guess). Edit: just emailed him.

Vern stroking a white-haired pussy, eh? Not sure how old his missus is, now you mention it.

Still not fitted the P-Box, hope to fit it at the weekend/next week - I've figured out what I'm doing, just haven't had "time". You should've got that RR day organised, it might've been different as I'd like to get some figures/curves to compare to the other ones that've been posted...

Ah, is that what happened! I thought WRC were a "big money signing".

Dunno, mate. I just wait for you to do all the work then go along, eat butties and take the piss.

Awesome's good, but there's always the problem of comparing their figures with everyone elses. Not a problem with lots of SCN cars, but I'd want a happy dyno to comapre the e91 with other published graphs
