Running a different exhaust and it gets a little tight back there with that heat shield still on. I wanted to keep the larger heat shield on as it helps to cover the sides of the bumpers. My concern was dirt and gunk getting thrown up there by the wheels.

Guys, I had explained how I used the dimpled aluminum covers that close out the urea tanks. I did some other things but also made use of the 2 studs that hang down from the black trunk plate. Here is a single post so you don't have to hunt in my "spare tire under trunk" thread.

DEF tank shields
I've been researching and cannot find a clear answer, can I leave the large and small exhaust shield out if I remove the DEF tanks? It won't get too hot below the trunk if the shields are removed? Exhaust will be aftermarket with mufflers
Thx |

Both my down pipes (ecotune and Bohl) have an extra bracket that attaches them to a bracket that goes to side of the lower engine block.
This is a urea tank delete thread. go ask further DP questions in the DPF delete thread. Trying to keep this one clean, please. thanks |
