New upgraded all aluminum transmission oil pan

https://www.bavauto.com/bmw-automati...-2-333-903-prm

I'll be getting one of these asap👍

Edit: this link is bad, I don't know what bav is doing so further down is the part numbers to pan and separate replacement filter. I apologize and no I wasn't suggesting a vendor, they just had the cheapest price that I could find.

What material is the transmission housing made out of?

I hope there will be no adverse affects from aluminum contact.

Its not you, I can no longer see it. It appears the part has been taken down from their site for some reason.

Not just you; didn't work for me either. I searched for the part number on BAVAuto that was part of the URL in OP's post, but it just returned the same old one-use-only molded plastic pan.

The webpage was there earlier when I ordered from it.

anyway, here is the link to the part listed above.

URO - 24 15 2 333 903-PRM

You will have to find another distributor to order from.

And the filter is replaceable.

RockAuto apparently also caries the URO aluminum pan (part 24152333903PRM), but they too, are out of stock.

So according to URO they were selling these, they are sold out and now they are on hold for a possible re-tooling and no eta on when it will be available again. No word on why exactly it may be re-tooled but they said could possibly be an application where it had interference on the fit because it fits so many different vehicles. I continued my order from bav as it was already in the cart, so I'll see what happens next. Filter is still available though.
