I'm still in the hunt here. Not using the ESS kit, I'm going to fab my own system.
I'm finishing up the N54 intake manifold and TB install and now seems to be a good time to install check valve(s) to keep the boost out of the crank case. I retained the check valve from the N54 TB to the fuel tank vent. It seems like one is also needed in the PCV line between manifold and valve cover. Any others?

Or do I need to re-route this line to the intake upstream of the SC and plug the port in the manifold?

I found the answer here in case anyone else is looking:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...1143622&page=3 Also ESS doesn't list the N52 kit anymore, but it seems you can buy the parts: https://esstuning.com/n52-vt/

I've had no issues with the n54 crankhub, but if you're thinking of swapping to that I don't think it would help keep the crankbolt coming loose. What are you torquing it to? Double-check if I'm right but I believe it's 100nm+360 degrees with no thread locker, but I've seen some people say to put oil on the threads.

Currently I'm on full e85, or I guess e70 since that's what it ends up testing at, but I'm planning on running the water to air manifold that stagefp should be releasing soon. |

Tis says 100Nm + 360 degrees turn and lightly lubricate the thread. We did just that, added blue Permatex thread locker and the crankshaft bolt still came loose. Then we installed a new bolt, but no longer lubricated it with oil, but only with thread locker. Even the OEM washer was installed from N54 and the bolt still came off. I do not know what to do. |

At minus 10 Celsius, my boost gauge showed 13 psi. 6900RPM Now it's plus 8 Celsius outside and my boost sensor shows a maximum boost of 11.5 -12 psi. 6800RPM In the coming days, I will also install an IAT sensor in the intake manifold. I also have a WMI injector installed in front of the throttle body. 22RPD recommended adding a second WMI injector, upstream of the supercharger. And measure IAT temperature Last edited by Igor.v_a; Today at 02:53 AM.. |
