Thanks for a great meet guys. Sorry the pics seem a bit dark, seems i may have nudged the dial (blaming hanging out the window at warp 9)

Thanks also to Paul for letting me co-pilot. Someone called him Doctor who at lunch, which maybe true as he dropped me off, drove to Leeds and posted pics in about an hour!

Big thanks to both Matt & Will for a superbly planned meet

The 'hoons' were perfect and gave us all the opportunity to stretch our legs so to speak, despite the best efforts of the local farmer and the locals who seemed oblivious to the Q of cars desperate to get past!

The single track road runs were certainly interesting, and I did at times wish I was in a X5 and not a E92!

The location for lunch was perfect, and the food was good and kept me going until the icecream, yummy.

I left with the following thoughts and questions:

1. Thank feck I wasn't the lead car when travelling at silly speeds down the single track roads! Well done Matt.

2. How impressed I was with Steve's Porker, very, very quick, and even more impressive, how Steve managed to travel everywhere without using his brakes

3. Is 'Jizz' appropriate daily attire for all womenfolk,or are there exceptions?

4. Carbon fibre thongs and stockings? Why not, lets hope there available for Xmas

5. Big respect to one individual who's nightmare turned into one big banterfest, and who took all the pisstaking in good heart.

6. How many different ways can you pronounce the word 'Scone'?

Lastly, and admittedly rather sadly:

7.Do you put jam on the scone first? Or is it the clotted cream?

For those left wondering - You really had to be there

It's jam first then clotted cream, being a bit of a saddo I actually bake my own scones.

Oh and it's scone as in moan NOT scone as in gone.

Good to see you all yesterday, even with 143bhp it was fun.

Firstly, thanks to Matt for organising everything - we had some good runs out on Saturday. We still managed a run out today, but got hampered a little by traffic

Good to put a couple faces to names too

A few pics...

Good pics! That Deep Sea Blue one looks fantastic I think it almost kept up with you...

For some reason, it seems that you were focusing on something behind me in one of the pictures....

Great meeting everyone.

^ lol know exactly what pic you're referring to tsk tsk.

It was a great meet. The Datsun performed admirably for an 8 year old car with absolutely no prep for such an abusive weekend. I'll treat her to a new set of rubbers, as this is what I most like my ladies to be adorned with!!! And only the premium stuff too.

And for those confused, let me go further. Bamboo clad woman and the sensuality of an outfit made only of dead skin.

You had to be there.

Great meet. Only shame was that the bloody harvester shut so early and we couldn't "tie one on".

Ah. One last thing. That road we found going through the trees just before we turned around and headed for our evening meal... Matt, bloody superb. Best road I've driven on in England. Without a doubt. Good find. There are better configurations about, say in N Wales, the peaks or the lakes... but not with the ability to see ahead and also with such brilliant tarmac. Whoever layed that road needs an accolade heh or at least to tell the muppets around London how to do their job.

Cheers all,
Dave

+1 on the meet.

You should have been the one following Matt!!! At least the E90 has more clearance than the E92!

+1 on the new rubber, you were taking the corners a little 'gingerly' The straights were ok, but you kept getting a mirror full of M3 on the twisty bits.

We did that road again today (in the opposite direction), it is fantastic.

100%. I had a few scary moments where the car simply would not turn in, so from that point on was only going to 70% on the corners. And 70% of "not particularly high" in terms of terminal speed as well. As said to you at the time, I at one point considered letting you through due to the sheer guilt of holding up the M!

Still. Straight line speed and the sound I very much approved of.

Thanks to everyone who turned up. Great to meet a few new faces and to catch up with the old hands.

It was also nice to see a bit of variety and colour in the line-up as well. It certainly made judging where the last guys were easier than normal. Why does everyone have a black car these days?

Great to see Steve's Poached Turbot. It is clear that a lot of work had gone into getting it looking that good.

Andrew, you are a true gent for putting up with all the stick about the pipe and slippers mobile. Have you got the flat cap yet?

Ed, anti-social the exhaust may be when cold, but it does make a lovely noise. By the time you get to Andrew's age and are in a Jag you will be deaf though!

Ian, half of being able to make progress down the single track roads is knowing that the guys behind aren't stupid so you can concentrate on what you are doing. Plus you can see all the pot holes much more easily than those following.

Some good runs, some (suprisingly) decent weather and good friends made for a memorable weekend.

The pie that wrapped it all up was pretty good too!

Slightly jealous of missing out on those pies!!! Although the large full english with extra bacon and 4 rounds of toast in Wetherspoons was simply superb also

One addition, to every scrote at the travelodge that thought shouting outside our window at 4am was a good idea. Get bent. I'm so tired right now! Just bad luck with us getting the ground floor really

A great 3/4 of a day out. Haven't checked the state of my exhaust scrapage after the jaunt down a particular single track. E90's may have more ground clearance than an E92, but I seriously had the least!!

Also really disconcerting having a black E92 with Black grilles filling your rear mirror at high speed and knowing that 9 times out of 10 your brake lights don't work!! Well done Ian for anticipating the braking zones!!

Some great hoonage. Wasn't sure if my 31 year old was going to keep up, but glad it held its own with cars with twice the bhp!!

Thanks to all for a good day and to Matt and Will who always deliver a good meet.
