AEM Meth Kit Install

I am having a hard time finding info on the install of the AEM Meth kit.
For the N55, do we need to tap into the MAP sensor for boost control or is there a boost hose we can tap into? The 3350 kit has to plug into a MAP sensor and the 3300 kit uses the internal MAP sensor and a boost hose to tap into a boost line. Anyone that has installed this kit themselves that has some guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You have to tap a wire in the TMAP to get your boost signal. I would have to dig to find out which wire it was but for some reason Yellow is coming to mind. It uses voltage to determine boost pressure. If you wanted to use the controller that uses a vacuum line you would need to get an adapter like the Dinan one. It spaces you MAP sensor and had a tee for a vacuum line.

The spacer will be a easier option and less intrusive.

I installed the 3350 on my buddy’s car. Tap yellow wire on the TMAP for boost reference. Everything else is straight forward.

Since my friend is giving me a good deal on the 3300 AEM kit, I have decided to go with that one. The only question is, is it better to put the boost adapter on the TMAP on the CP or the MAP sensor on the intake manifold?

Also, the yellow wire is a switched 12V wire. This has to be connected to a switched 12V source. The blue wire would have been connected to the TMAP sensor. What did everyone use for their 12V switch?

I used the exhaust flap solenoid in the trunk for switched 12V.
