Just read from start to finish - and bravo - you have turned the car from a nice but ordinary 325 into an absolutely stunning E91. It's perfection in my eyes, all high quality OEM+ mods and coherently executed.
Love it mate!

The current set up is F30 4 pot Brembos with much larger 370x30mm discs. Cost wise for the E8x set up was in the region of £900, F3x set up is more like £1.2k |

Yeh, it's a little known thing that the E91's have rear speakers in the headlining. Only with Logic 7 option, or with Hi-End Infobidual Audio option though.
Not overpowering, but this system doesn't particularly like low quality audio. FM radio & low bit rate audio via AUX sounds quite poor. Stick a CD in with high quality but rate & it's seriously impressive! |

Perf Bumper looks awesome, not sure how it would suit a silver car though.
Audio upgrade was a big step! I still haven't found someone who can code my Alpine retrofit to Hifi haha. |

Cheers mate, and I agree performance front end only suits certain colours!
The guy who did all the coding on mine will be able to code your head unit to HiFi if you require? He's North East based but does remote coding too. |

Loving you car, I've just acquired a similar looking 335i.
What I'm really interested in is some feedback about how you are getting on with your H and R and Bilstein Combo. I have had a post purchase inspection today and the rear shocks need replacing so going to go for a full upgrade. Do you wish you'd gone coils and did the H&R's balance out the rear being lower than the front look the touring ?has ? |

As for the suspension - no way that I would have preferred coilovers. I have been there and done that on all my recent (last 4) cars and the temptation is always there to 'just go a bit lower' and before you know it - the car is unusable! I bought this car to suit my family needs, whilst scratching my urges to modify cars! The Bilstein and H&R combo offers a perfect ride height in my opinion. Visibly lower and great handling when compared to OEM M Sport, on top of that, the car remains perfectly useable and doesnt rub over bumps and can still very much be used with 4 people / luggage in the car. If you look through the most recent pics I have uploaded you should be able to get a feel for the drop on offer! It does indeed fix the ridiculous reverse rake that the car had as stock. The front now sits lower than the rear. |

Thanks for the reply, looks like those H&R springs fit the 335i as well. I do fancy the damping adjustable st xa coils though for some fine tuning but I think they'd just end up on their highest setting.
Purchase wasn't off here, found it through Autotrader after over a year of searching for one ! I'll get a thread up soon. |

Part Num on mine is: 29187-2
Coilovers are great if you want adjustability but as I say, for me it would end up with constant adjustment. These are just a fit and forget soloution! |

Cheers. - I've now started thinking if I have to buy new discs and pads I might as well get some better calipers as well........ ! Is there an easy upgrade on front calipers only, I see you've modded your brakes a couple of times ? Or are the 335i OEM calipers, different, better ?

335i and 335d (and some late 330d's) all got the larger sliding front caliper design with 348mm x 30mm discs. The rears on your car are the same as my 325d. So, the 1st one of my brake upgrades (6 pot fronts and 2 for rears) from a E8x 135i would in theory be a 'downgrade' in terms of disc size. That leaves the current brake upgrade on my car - which would represent a significant upgrade over stock 335i brakes - the disc size is 370mm x 30mm in conjunction with a 4 piston Brembo fixed caliper. These calipers are from a F3x car, and the stock rears (336mm disc) have been fully refurbished in the same blue with a rebuild, new seals, discs and pads. Not cheap though! |

^^^ Thanks for all the info, I would love those brakes.......... I was hoping I might be able to just use those discs with my calipers but doesn't look like that's possible. I need suspension wheels and tyres so can't justify (or afford! ) calipers as well. So it'll be bog standard pads and discs for me at least they are a decent diameter.

Just seen in that pic that you've got a 225 tyre on the front there, I've been advised a 235 on a 8.5" or is your BBS an 8 ?
