New e91 owner and already in love...
Thoughts on the OEM 437M style wheel in the black and silver? My wagon is the same sapphire metallic black... they would be staggered 8.5/9.5 19"
Love your car! |

Sorry to disturb, just a quick question regarding your suspension, did you change because you wanted or the car was in need? My e91 330d is 99000 and I'm worried as i take my kids everywhere and I always take the car abroad.
The kit you used was the Bilstein B12 ? Thid your car dropped nicely? Mine is a Msport but I still wanted a bit lower |

wow - so much inspirational OEM+ goodness! Epic build!
Ive just read the full 21 pages in the thread XD One thing i did wonder was about the ride height - was it stock M-sport before the Bilsteins went on? If so did you do a before and after measurement? |

OEM+ is deffo my style when it comes to modding cars. I didn't take any before and after pictures, sorry. Yes it was stock M-Sport suspension prior to the Bilsteins. |

My motivation to change was simply down to getting the car to sit how I wanted without having the temptation from coilovers to keep 'going lower' before eventually ruining the practicality of the car! So I chose the Bilstein dampers and H&R springs after doing research and finding that the H&R's seemed to offer the drop I was after. Ride is very good (but I have always lowered my cars, so I think I am used to the ride you get with a lowered car) it is definitely stiffer than M Sport, but not bad enough to cause me any issues on my 50 mile a day round trip commute! |

OK, so update time!
Now the car is here to stay (for at least a little while anyway!) I have been getting a few things sorted! New rear tyres (another pair of ContiSportContact 6's) Full major service at BMW (oil, oil filter, fuel filter, microfilter, air filter) Today I also picked it back up from DDB Detailing in Newcastle - they did a full detail on my car a year ago using the full raft of GTechniq products, and I opted for the Crystal Serum Light (CSL Black) level of protection. This involved a top layer of Exo for gloss and it acts as the hydrophobic layer too. Over the last 12 months being thrashed though all seasons it was obvious that it needed a top up! I contacted DDB to discuss my options and he mentioned that EXO V3 had since been realeased and offered much better results - so I booked in! Old EXO removed (leaving the original application of CSL in place) and EXO V3 applied - the results are stunning. I think you would struggle to imagine that this car is now over 7 years old! |

Thank you, the BBS are lovely, but make me paranoid when driving!
I'd be gutted if I kerbed one, or if one got damaged as they dont make them in this finish anymore! |

Another update to the thread...
I've finally caved and bought a set of matching F3x rear calipers from a 440i They are 2 piston Brembo's with 345mm discs, so pretty large for a rear set up! They only have 40km of delivery miles, so pretty much new & I got them for 475 EUR shipped to U.K so I think I got a good deal! The caliper tubs / tabs need to be machined down so these are not a direct fit. I will have to find a place local to me to do the work & a E9x M3 master cylinder will be required to ensure a decent pedal feel is maintained! As you can see, condition is like new! |

Thanks mate.
Itching to get them on, but need to source a M3 master cylinder etc first! Also need a pair of 345mm E60 535i rear discs too, as if you use them you don't have to machine off much from the caliper tabs compared to using the F3x 345mm rotor! |

This is probably my favorite car on the forum. It's superb!
Everything you've done is exactly what I'd do/want to do. I know its hard to stop tweaking but is there anything else left on the mod list lol? |
