What's been "Concealed"? Have they repaired failed HPFP and said it was something else? Don't think so. If you're not happy, buy a Honda a JTFU!

I was thinking the same after seeing quote #254! Either that or it's someone trolling.

Car usually starts in under 2 seconds. If it takes longer.............long crank. Happened ONCE to me and pump was replaced the next morning in a prviously scheduled appointment..

Car gave me the 1/2 engine light last night. I said shit, not now lol. Turned off the car, turned it on, still there, turned it off again, back on. FACK!

lol. Thought, I'll turn it off one more time. Light was gone. Did another 3 or 4 runs down the 1/4 and went home. Started fine this morning

Car has stored the error code. I'd just go get it fixed at the dealer asap.

Also, how does BMW expect to sell any turbo sales on their models if they can't make it even function properly? They want to build upon the N55 with their future models. I'm guessing M3 sales won't be as high as they use to be when the next gen comes out. Another reason I jumped ship, BMW's boosted engines suck.

IF and when you check for codes
look for these two: 2BDE, 2BF0

One of them is your HPFP telling you it's got problems. Specifically that the pressure is too low.. I got these two codes a week or so ago. They are both shadow codes

That's great news, now and ask yourself are few vital questions:

-are you driving a N55 powered vehicle? If the answer is no, you have nothing to add to this thread, other than your experience with a N54
-how does your lack of HPFP failure on your N54 directly relate to the N55? if the answer is, it doesn't... Then you've just added nonsense to the thread (although I have added plenty of non-sense to other threads and could easily be accused of doing this myself, so I won't fault you for this)

So on thanksgiving, be thankful that you haven't had to deal with the HPFP failure, and be thankful that you haven't had to take hours or days away from your life and work, just to get this issue dealt with

The best way to avoid a BMW HPFP Thanksgiving squawk
is to do the Thanksgiving at grandmam's 3 and a half mile walk.
