replacing control arms and such

Im currently at 82k.chicago streets have destroyed my front suspension..car is a 07 335i sport pkg. I'm getting a slight wheel vibration when braking.now this only happens sometimes..rotors and pads are brand new and both are from stop tech and have about 1k on them.also had vibrations on the oem rotors and pads so it wasn't the brakes.wheels have been balanced and tires are newer.tried both sets winter and summer tires and no difference.im looking at the upper and lower control arms as well as tie rods from rock auto for 322 shipped for everything. im not looking to upgrade to the m3 ones as i don't do any track events as this is a daily.

my question is has anyone used those arms from rock auto on there 335i.i have ordered control arms and tension struts for my old srt8 from them and had no issues as i knew what i needed and what to look for.

My daily driver 2010 E90 328i had the same issue last year. It has just over 60k miles on it. Replaced with M3 arms and problem was gone. I don't ever plan to track the car but apparently the solid bushings of the M3 arms will be a lot more durable than the "water balloons" of the non-M3 ones. I can rest assured knowing the new set will last way more than 60k going forward.

If you're going to spend $300+ on stock control arms why would you not get the m3 version? Your argument about not tracking the car is invalid. They're thicker and stronger than stock. I have them and never plan to track my car

I see they offer 2 versions of the arms from that one vendor. Ones are 340 other is 600+.

Just go with the cheaper set, those will work fine. The more expensive set is made out of adamantium; you wouldn't see any benefits from that unless you were tracking the car anyway.

You looking at Offset Motorwerks site? Get the TRW version, it's the same thing with the M3 logo removed.

Those are self-repairing though, may be worth the extra money

They're the same exact damn thing with the M logo scratched out.

Agrre. They are the same.
I put the M3's on and they are fine. The car is harder to steer now, so if your not going to track it and drive in the city stay with standard size.

I don't find my car harder to steer at all. The front feels a little tighter/easier to steer if you ask me
