Diamond cut I believe Si?

You'll get away with one, maybe two refurbs on DC wheels.

No specialists near your offices?
Lepsons are good at DC,but not local for you unfortunately.

Yup, diamond cut and staggered
I've heard that Lepsons are the daddies of refurbing diamond cut wheels.
I'm thinking I might let Wheels in Motion do them when it next needs tyres - book a holiday, drop the car there for a week and come back to refurb'd wheels and new tyres.

Right, I definitely didn't post that twice, as I'm on my laptop - I think the database is FUBAR

The worst feeling ever and why does it always seem as if the crunching noise lasts forever

Hey sheps... Man that is a bummer. espcially on a DC wheels.

One thing to consider is if your car is a daily driver especially over winter the likely hood is they will begin to corrode far sooner than a standard lacquered finish. In which case it might be worthwhile consider a power coat finish, one that is very close to the OEM finish.

Its a notorious issue on the e46 m3 on the 19" wheels. P.s dont quote me as im not entirely sure how corrosive the benz wheels are, but hopefully someone with a bit more experience can step in.

regards.

I too have DC wheels and, within a week of driving out of the showroom, the inevitable happened. Entirely my own fault - pulling into a car park and got distracted by the reflection of my shiny new car in a shop window - couldn't resist admiring myself and missed a curb in the middle of nowhere that seemed to serve no purpose other than to piss me off...
I've got wheel insurance, but I think the DCs have to go away for repair.

The BBC recently did a survey of the most annoying sounds - nails on a blackboard etc., but nothing comes close to the horrible crunch of your wheel contacting concrete.

One or two spring to mind, but I wouldn't put anything in writing - at least not publicly!

Had some car right up my arse the other day as I was going up a multi story - I was going so slow with my mirror down to avoid anything bad happening.... Must have been annoying for the other car, but I wasn't taking any risks!

Awful when it happens, feel for you

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but I honestly don't think diamond cuts look right once they've been refurbed, I've just had three done after some damage by a tyre fitter, and they don't look anywhere near original

Maybe Lepsons will do a decent job?

I think the biggest problem is the rounded edge of the spoke, which is impossible to emulate when refurbishing, that and the very fine finish to the face, which when refurbed is very harsh

What a great repair.
I'm now seriously considering getting my ass to Poole and having this guy do the business. Thanks for that
