As previously mentioned an extended warranty is not a bad idea. My recommendation is Route 66. There are plenty of threads on here that talk about how good it has been to many members, myself included. Find yourself a trustworthy "mod friendly" shop and you will be set. My warranty has paid for itself 2X's in less than two years and I've still got another 35,000/2 years worth of coverage.
Even if Cobb doesn't support the platform anymore the actual AP and companies that tune through the AP are still valid, no?

For MHD you absolutely need an android device right?

I've always been partial to flashing instead of piggy backing.
The COBB is just outdated at this point. Again, anyone who is active on the boards will tell you to go MHD. Yes, you need Android but you can get a new android tablet for under $100. I used COBB when I first bought my car and it was fine. I even paid $300 for a pro tune from PTF. But when I decided to contact the for a E85 tune all I got was an auto response saying they were now focused on F series tuning and that was it. I tried calling and emailing for several weeks and got nothing. That's not to say that there aren't tuners around who cant/won't tune with COBB but they are few and far between these days. Do want you want but I'm willing to bet that you will end up with MHD at some point.

Definitely going to need to do a bit more of this before I dig into it.

I definitely see why the MHD would be a great option and hell even if I went with a newer android it'd be less than the Cobb in the end.

Let me know how the bumper turns out. I'm in centreville and I'm thinking about an M-sport front bumper. Ugh, I need to throw my 219m's on already!!

Update 2/7/17

Took a half day yesterday to have the M3 rep bumper installed. All in all, Really happy with how it turned out and the quality of everything. Fitment on the bumper is essentially perfect and definitely looks and is made like an OEM part. Only issue was that I didn't get the correct fittings for the fog lights so that just need to be soldered in and it's all good to go.

First time I had used this body shop as well and paint and everything turned out great. Some iffy pics below from my phone. I'll be stealing my photographer dad sometime in the next month to try and get a good photo shoot.

ALSO! Thanks in part to some convincing by you guys here, decided to go MHD tune. Read enough good about MHD and enough ehh about Cobb that it seemed simple(ish).

First time through, couldn't get it work and my connection to the ECU actually cut out about 2 mins and the flash failed. Scared the living shit out of. Thought I bricked it. Fuck.

Attempt two, absolutely no problems. Backed up the DME, flashed to Stage 1 93 oct and 36 mins later, tuned.

THIS THING FEELS LIKE A ROCKET.

All wheel drive, sticky PSS, and relatively warm day in the DMV and I was throwing myself back into the seat.

Current gauge set up as well as an okay view of the rewrap on the steering wheel to get rid of that nasty peeling crap.

Wanted to see if anyone had tips and tricks for doing light painting photography. I'm going to be going out this weekend to get some good photos of the car and want to try it out.

Any Suggestions??

2/21/2018 - Catching up on updates (lci tails, intake, etc)

Well almost officially a year from the last time I updated this thread... but let's get back into it.

Updates since last post:
BMS dci intake
Charge Pipe and BOV
Side skirt extensions
Personalized plates
LCI led tails (coming tomorrow)... Will post before/after pics etc etc

I've also noticed that I've got a small oil leak somewhere near the front of the car. Looks to be after the car has warmed up and the oil gets warm there is a very small drip about a foot and half from the front of the car.

From my very brief look over of the engine bay it doesn't look like it's coming from anywhere near the top and I can't find any oil spots on anything (which is nice and also makes me worry it's something below like turbos or rear seal or something else)

pic for attention from a trip in the fall to Skyline Drive out west of the DC area:

I know fitment in the front is pretty monstery but xDrive and winter life, will either be going with some springs or coils soon. Most likely the latter because the rears really don't need to go down and I just need to fix the reverse rake.

I think once I get the suspension all sorted that'll be my next move. Any idea how difficult it might be to get those m3 ducts modified and fitting right?

The car's looking great! Just needs some low now

There are some people that make lips/splitters for the M3 rep bumpers, it would look much better than that rubber one

The oil leak is probably your OFHG and Oil Cooler O-rings (if you have one)

If it is, then its a good idea to change the belt and tensioners as well

WELP... so long e90 gang.

Came back from a trip and took some extra days off from work and a thing happened.

2015 335i M Sport with some of the M Performance bits. Sad to see the e90 go but I guess it's time to start another build thread over on the f30 side of the forums!
