black roof and mirror covers

hi

am planning to treat myself with a few more mods to the car. i've already installed the performance black grills but now i fancy possibly doing black vinyl on the roof and putting on black mirror covers

i'm useless with photoshop - was wondering could anyone please photoshop a black roof and mirror covers onto the photo below?

also where's the best place to get black mirror covers - i don't want cf ones cos i've no other cf on the car.

many thanks
happy new year!

Will be hard to shop that pic because of the quality BUT I know for sure that wrapping the top in black will work. Black mirror covers I'm not too sure on. I'f leave them white tbh and just do the roof. Your rims are sikk mate. 325i FTW!

Yours would be close to passing as an M3 if said mods were carried out

It would look so close to M3 status if you got them mods.

It would make your car appeal soooo much more aesthetically though. :

Also the theme of your car is a bit different...black roof may contrast with the wheels too much.

This is the best I could do:

Hang on a wee minute...

1. In it's current state, my car looks nothing like an M3 - however on many occasions it has been mistaken for an M3 by people who aren't well informed - that's not my fault.

2. I have no desire to make my car LOOK like an M3 (while I may long for the power of one) - I simply like the idea of a black roof on a white car

3. The addition of a black roof will not make my car look like an M3 to people in the know but my car will still look like an M3 to the people who always thought my car was an M3. BMW's use of the alpine white colour in their M3 promotional material has lead to this easy mistake.

4. I would like to think that mods of any description would be encouraged on this forum - while opinions are of course very welcome - flippant comments like the one above obviously were given no thought.

TO SUM UP

I love my car, I like doing additional mods, I like the M3, I accept I don't own an M3 BUT I don't try to make my car look like one - I think we can all agree it looks nothing like an M3 - it is unique in its own right

White cars with black roofs used to be quite common - it's not an idea invented for the M3.

This for an example which certainly doesn't look like an M3!

Yeh that's Carl. He probably looked at the thread title and looked at the M3 I posted and commented. Definitely know he didn't mean it as a direct implication to what you're doing.

Guess you're planning this mod as we speak...
