Pre-LCI to LCI Headlight Coding Help

Hey guys,

I'm trying to code an early model 07 e92 335i with pre-lci headlights to lci headlights. Right now the lights just flash and headlights won't turn on. Is there something I need to add to the VO? Also, does it require FRM2? Thanks!

You might need either re-wiring or FRM3 for this to work. I know with most E90s it's almost plug and play.

I hope not... I read on another thread that frm2 and resetting FRM is needed.

No I don't have the car right now I'm doing the coding for a friend. Last time I was trying to write the VO it said ECU connection error but I was able to write to other modules just fine. (Was able to code idrive, digital speed, etc).

sorry, i'm not really sure. maybe salvage yard or something?

also, it seems like both the angel eyes light up (but flash, no headlights still) on one side of the car, but nothing works on the drivers side. Any idea what this could be from?

Copy & paste this the link below. They'll stop the flickering, not sure about why the main lights won't work.

Well hopefully the problem is fixed after I change the VO and update with modules with the LCI options

ok for some reason it wasn't letting me code the VO, so I'll have to try that again later.

so I coded out all the bulb checks. the turn signals no longer flash (except when turning) but the angel eyes still flash all the time, so we had to turn them off in iDrive. The driver side headlight doesn't turn on at all still, but the angel eyes and turn signal do. Hasn't anyone on here done an e92 pre-lci to lci headlight swap??
