e90 Suddenly Sounding 'tuned'

I have a 2007 328i at a little over 150k. For about a week now, the engine sound really deep, almost as if I straight piped it or something. Noise is coming from under the front passenger side.

I feel like there is a little loss of power, but mostly feel like the car is 'floating', especially when accelerating between 20-40mph. Anyone have any ideas before I pay for diagnostic?

What codes are being thrown... audio in the video is hard to tell, is it idling high like that all the time? Almost sounds like a misfire but it's hard to tell with the crappy video.

Do you have a cable or a good scan tool?

Header to midpipe flange probably failing causing a leak.

Had this happen on my 2008 328i. As mentioned above check the manifold to front pipe flange. The nuts on my car had rusted off completely and the studs were in terrible condition.

I had a local exhaust shop knock out the old studs and add bolts with new gaskets for $120.

Where in Canada are you? That sounds like a good price. I believe I have this leak as well. Hasn’t been high on my priority list but at that price I’d deal with it tomorrow.

Thanks for all your help. Suspecting it is the gasket like most of you suggested. Will I be doing long term damage if i drive it for a few more days before getting it fixed?

Not really. It's just an exhaust.
