Driving on damaged shock?
I just got the call every parent loves. My 2015 E91 wagon went on a trip with my 20 year old son to Escalante, Utah and is now 30 miles down a pretty mild dirt road. They smelled smoke, stopped car and notice smoke and fluid leaking on back left tire. It looks like the shock is damaged. So, now car is about 30 miles from a tiny town and probably about 3 hours from closest possible repair. Is is possible to drive slowly for the 30 miles to get to a town to tow? Fortunately there is some spotty cell reception. Unfortunately, our trusted car repair place is closed tomorrow, so I cant ask them. Any advice?

Yeah you'll be fine. A little bouncy though.
