Need Help! FRM Short Circuit Counter Reset Needed

So, stupidly -- I cycled my key/started my car 50+ times with a bad angel eye headlight bulb. I first had my left (driver) side throw a code for DRL bulb malfunction then I swapped the passenger bulb in with the driver side and vice versa and it started throwing a code (drl bulb malfunction) on the right (passenger). Life kept me busy and I didn't drive much at night and didn't care to fix it until now. Go figure. I tried two sets of new bulbs and same issue. I have carly and although I can run the codes and code out the DRL, I still get the error.

Don't want to take it to the stealership.

Now I know there isn't an issue with the FRM module because of the whole aforementioned bulb swap and 50+ key cycles. I just need the counter reset and I have learned my lesson. LOL

Can anyone provide some guidance or does anyone do this remotely? Any links?

I got a quote from a guy who wants $190 just to install software on my pc and 'see' if he can fix it. Not too keen about this.

Thanks in advance.

Reset it with tool32. It takes 2minutes.

Obviously you need a cable and BMW Standard Tools (free).

It's not straightforward but not difficult either. Go to the bimmer geeks website and download it from the links section.

Once downloaded extract the archive and install as per instructions in the txt file.
