Appropriate-since you have AIS, would you help me watch for Hojin. She's due into PanCanal region at 5:00 am tomorrow morning, but she could show up at any time.

So it looks like when they drop off the schedule, they reappear with a three day delay from the previous booked transit time. Okay, so now we're looking at a transit on the 20th, with arrival in L.A. proabably on the 28th. That sucks.

Yes, that seems to be the pattern. I don't know if that will hold up, though. We will see when Boyds posts an updated schedule tomorrow.

As I was looking at the AIS Atlantic approach maps this morning, it really didn't look that backlogged down there. The ship labels on the screen were somewhat separated vs. being crammed in on top of one another like the other day. So, to me it looked like things were clearing up, but that is just an observation. It is really a guess what is going to happen and we will have to be patient, which I am not!

It takes about six days to get to SoCal, so if he transits tomorrow, he will be on time. If he transits on Apr 20, figure an Apr 26 arrival at PH, not Apr 28. Unless he stops in San Diego or LA before PH. I can't remember if he has other stops.

Something that will be interesting to follow is if DJ finishes at Manzanillo today and goes back out into the outer bay tonight to wait her turn. Usually, when a ship goes back out into the bay, they transit the next morning. But, sometimes ships don't finish in Manzanillo until their second day in the region, then go out into the bay on their second night and transit on their third day. In other words, when they go out into the bay, that is a clue that they are going to transit the next day. The PH schedule reflects that pattern for DJ's arrival, transit day plus six-seven days to SoCal. So, it will be interesting to see if DJ moves into the outer bay tonight, or not. The sooner the better.

Camellia Ace parked in the bay last night, but didn't transit today. She was originally supposed to, but didn't. That is not normal. Boyd's schedule hasn't been reliable through this situation, either.

The Don Juan doesn't have any stops between here and PH, so I think we're good to go on that point.

You could have a European Delivery car and that can add three extra weeks onto the wait because of customs inspection.

Maybe she'll go through tomorrow after all... the schedule does indeed show her having left Manzanillo... but AIS shows her at the dock still doing 0.0 knots... all be it with engines running and "underway."

Notice it says ETA at PH at 4/24!!!

My AIS version says it is delayed up to an hour. Does yours? Maybe she has left port, but AIS hasn't reflected that, yet.

I think it dropped off the schedule because it's transiting tomorrow, and all transits for tomorrow are off the schedule...

The other interesting thing is that it says due into PH on 4/24... that would be awesome if that is correct!

That is amazing that you got a live feed. And yes, he's on the move. That is a good sign. Where does it say ETA 4/24? If he transits tomorrow, that is a very possible schedule.

But that is what happend to Camellia Ace. She dropped off yesterday and was back on today with a several-day delay. That is what worries me about DJ.

Do those dashed boxes mean anything? Like are they staging areas for ships that are going to transit? Don Juan is to the left of the box... unclear from the first view, but it does show it more clearly zoomed in on the second...
