Tire/Wheel sizing question

I have an opportunity to pick up a new set of Blizzak tires for a good deal. Tire size is 245/40-R18. I know this should fit fine in the rear, but is this okay to also run up front? I was planning to buy new wheels to mount the winter tires on... what size and offset would be recommended?

Thanks for your help!!

If the wheels are squared that setup should work without any issues. I'd recommend that an 18x8 or 18x8.5 would work well. Offsets of anything above et 30 shouldn't cause you any issues up front and in the rear that will be pretty sunken in so you could either go a more aggressive offset (like et20) with same width to keep the diameter equal or add a rear spacer.
