Can we get a 12.5 and Faster n54 (1/4 MILE) *STICKY*??

Hey,

I noticed that one of stickies on this forum is a "335i DRAG TIMES COMPILATION" but that thread just has people listing their drag times in each post and it hard to get a gauge of who is the fastest or, say, in the "top 10/15/20" of all n54s. Plus the name of the thread has "335" in it which isn't always the case for the n54s. I propose one of the mods start a thread similar to the one they got going in the IS300 community:

If you see from there it lists all the "known" IS cars faster than 12.49 and for each car theres a link to the details for it (including pics, vids, slips, etc). Back in the day I had a top 20 IS300, but am currently at 28 due to those things getting faster and faster and with SRT pushing the envelop further and further

!

Obviously there are no 8 second n54s, yet, so maybe we can start w/ a more conservative time (higher than 12.49/12.5) if needed.

Sounds like a good idea. I changed the title to N54 drag times.

I would love to see G Meter reading of a run with such times. Will let us slow guys get a good idea of were we loosing out.

once aftermarket turbo kit is widely used on N54 platform, we'll see more action on 1/4 miles. until then mid 12 sec is pretty much norm with tunes and some other minor mods...

there are plenty of guys in the sub 12.5 arena around here.

yeah, even a couple with high 11s. I think right now we got a pretty far spread in terms of times to keep track of. The IS community didnt hit 10s only until recently anyways!

www.dragtimes.com there are a bunch of n54 cars quicker than 12.5..
