Dead Battery..

Can a really drained battery cause my iDrive to not turn on as well as my car not starting, but still be able to unlock and light up dome lights in my car?

My car won't start... but I was getting a low battery warning on my dash about a day ago and I have been working on my car for hours with the lights on.

I'm hoping replacing a dead battery will be able to fix my problem!!

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Likely, yes. It’s either your battery or your alternator.

Having a bad battery (or low) in these can cause you to chase your tail.

Yes, a dying battery sometimes causes all types of weird electrical issues and codes.

Why would you work on your car for hours with the lights on (and not attached to a battery tender)? Of course it's your battery that's dead or dying. Simple logic.....
