ouch, just saw this thread right now

since the wheels are not damaged they should let you swap the wheels back in. when my friend had his car totaled he still went and got his stereo and subs. i know you dont have the oem ones but maybe someone has a spare set you can buy for cheap. i have "1" spare 157 17" wheel i can sell you if you can somehow find another 3

but chances are slim, better off buying a real cheap set of old bmw wheels/tires to swap.

ouch man just read your update. well its better they totaled it because i doubt it would ride right again. best thing to do is like phozen said, get a cheap pair of rims and put them on and pop those bad boys in. like i said i have dibs on them if u get rid of them! on the aftermarket stuff, unless you have receipts its doubtful to get anything covered. but check with your insurance co, im sure they will help you out.

Hey, sorry for your loss, but it's better then driving a car that won't drive the same, you know, and be out of your hands for god knows how long......

Anyways:

Rims, you can try to switch the pair if you can find a cheap set and take your originals..

Other mods (That aren't BMW done) : They shouldn't (I'm not 100% on this) or won't be able to help you there since those mods aren't oem or dealer installed w/ a bill of sale. Those mods are aftermarket, so what money you put in on the 'aftermarket' items will be lost which is pretty gay, but that's how it is.

Sorry, for your loss, but hey another new 335 08 coupe...... beside the point: you walked out of it okay, and that's all that matters. The dickbag that ran will get his own too, in just time.

watever ur insurance offers u is NEGOTIABLE, not sure if someone said this or not....u can always ask for more than wat they offer initially. that doesnt mean they will give it to u, but u can try...
also if u have more questions i have a buddy who works with car insurance, i can ask no problem.....

So, what I told him was I would go with him to his bodyshop, give him my wheels and tires for now and I use his wheels and tires off his e92 and when he gets his new e92, I'll give him back his rims and tires and I'll take the stock e92 wheels and tires. Since he already sold his stock ones already.

Don't worry Jamie, I still love ya man! But not in the way you want. lol!

Let me make this a little easier to understand.

My crappy stocks will go with the totalled e92.

His aftermarket wheels and tires will go on my car.

When he gets his new e92, he will take his aftermarket wheels and tires off of my car and swap with his new stock e92 wheels and tires.

make sure they check out your suspension geometry. most places over look that and if you went up a curb most assuredly your suspension is damaged.

Hopefully they'll declare it a total and you can just get a new one.
