nice thread, I have also 330i with sport package and 162 style R18 wheels for summer and i was thinking also about spacers but didn`t know what mm to take
I must also say, that my winter setup is on bmw e60 wheels R17. As ET of these wheels is smaller I get the same result as if I had 14mm spacers in front and rear. With this set up I have no heavy steering or other kind of driving problems, so I do not feel any problems with geometry, car stability etc only problem is a little bit of rubbing on bigger bumps in front, so yes, 14mm in front is a bit to much, but from other side, total diameter of winter tires R17 is bigger than summer tires R18, so it is possible that even 14mm spacers in front for R18 summer setup could be ok for 162 R18 I will take 10mm or may be 12mm in front and 18 or 20mm in back. |
