I have a pre-LCI '08 sedan with halogens. I was wondering if I could retrofit it with any of these sweetass AEs and

1) Keep the cost under a grand

2) Not have it void my warranty.

Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

I like the M-tec... I also have those in my car. The one thing that I noticed is all these lights are Xenon lights. I replaced my halogen for the Xenon bulbs... Which means mine arent as bright as the other cars here in this photo. However, I must say that the OSS and the M-tec stood out amongst all. Once I return to the USA, I'll replace my entire lights system for the xenon projector lights.

My New Halos - Reviewed vs LCI and Others Ive used

Hi guys , thought I will post some pictures of my upgrades done to my 2008 335 cabrio, I got the LUX v3 H8 Pics attached in day , the lux are very impressive, not the same as LCI model angel eyes, not like OSS but very nice,

The LCI are awsome but very bright, too bright as if BMW are trying to out do audi....lol and they have knocked audi's drls out of the park.

The installation was 2 mins. The results satisfying. Before Lux, I had GP Thunder, then RDs , then Weiss Light, then PIAA (useless same as weiss light), none were as bright in daylight as lux.

Ive also seen an HID conversion on a nice white M3 for the halos, the Lux Beat them by far....

One more thing to be kept in mind is that the housing of the headlight in Pre LCI is black, where as LCI is silver, this reflects and enhances brightness.

But yea in summary, without opening your whole bumper & headlight, the Lux V3 are a better option. A bit pricey... for me the total cost worked out to $320. So Marc @ LUX, good product, a bit pricey but hey...

Where can I buy the OSS? And what kind of installations do I have to do? Is it plug and play?

Are the Mtec led only for M cars?

I had AIB v3.0 before OSS and they burned out sadly. I had them only for about a year. They were a nice plug and play's but for the price ($300) they should have lasted long IMO.

EDIT: My avatar is with the AIB , so everyone can get an idea. I would take pictures of the OSS's but my iphone 4 can't pick them up too bright.
Can you please post some pics of it?

Hey everyone, newbie here

Hey folks,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forums, as I can properly say that I'm a new owner of a CPO 08 e92 328xi

With that said, I'm looking to change up the way the AE's look, as I was pretty bummed about the quite yellowish coloring of the stock ones. I'm looking for a DIY project that's pretty easy, even for a nub like me, since I've never done this kind of work before. I've read that Lux H8 are the way to go because they look great for the price (and great on AW paint) and that they're very easy to install. However, I'm not too sure what the difference between the v3's and the LED ones Lux offers. The quote

implies easy install, but I'm not too sure how easy "plug and play" really is. There was also a mention of a recall I heard from a few of my mod friends but they didn't really provide much info there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I really look forward to posting on this forum often.

Thanks!

The recall you are referring to was from our V2 version which had a problem with the power supply. The current version is error free. Please take a look at the for sale thread in my signature - it contains lot of info.

Installing them does take time because space is very limited, but we have a few tricks in our install guide which is on our website

E91 Pre Facelift Angel Eye upgrade

I want to know if its possible to add on the angel eye rings to non angel eye lights. I have the pre-facelift lights and would like to add on a after market kit if available. Anyone know of such a kit?

I'm with you bruh, so far here is what I have gathered...

The GP thunder LED bulbs for Angel Eyes are the ones I bought. Very easy to install. SUPER cheap like $20, but they suck IMO. It's a nice cheap mod for our halogen yellow AE's and looks cool, but very dull. I believe they are the least brightest. But hey the price reflects it.

Looks like the LUX AE's for LCI Halogen's are the best option for us, being that they work on our halogen lights, and that they are reasonably priced. Hope this helps dude!

We offer the LUX Angel eyes, which most all members here agree are the best LED angel eyes on the market. they are 100% plug and play and are available on our website.
