Nitto 555 or FK452?

I'm looking for a moderately priced tire to go with 19'' CSL reps, something thats a little better than the Generals. I don't see too many people using the Nitto, but heard some good things about them, and we all know the FK452 is pretty popular around here. The Nitto is about $100 more for a set, it seems to be more performance oriented than the FK452. Which one would you guys pick? People using the Nitto please chime in!

thanks!

Good to know you have them Brad...maybe a little more detailed review ? Like how's the ride comfort, and how the performance stack up to other tires you had before...

I haven't had any experience with Falken, but I have a set of NITTO NT555 on my G35 coupe, overall, dry performance is good, wet traction is decent, but as far as comfort, it gets quite loud on the highway. Overall, I'd rate this tire 7 out of 10. For the same price as NT555s, I'd go with other choices...just my two cents

I've been running Nitto NT555 for 4 summers now, and I still have good tread. Good dry traction and decent wet performance.

Thanks for the suggestions guys...they both seem like good tires for the money, too bad we can't find out exactly how different they are.

They are both good tires, I have had both. The biggest difference I have found is the side walls. Falkens have a much more tappered side wall giving it a narrower look. The Nitto 555 are very wide and blocky. If you have rubbing issues then go with Falken. My buddies 245 Nitto's look as wide as my 265 Falkens.

So how would you describe the difference in performance and ride comfort? Sidewall is not a concern for me since both of them in 265 is unlikely to rub.

So far I like the falkens for comfort and road noise.

And how about performance?! I always value performance more than ride comfort. Apreciate your feedback!
