Hose connected to coolant expansion tank issue

Hey guys, I was having some leaks from the expansion tank seams so I replaced the tank. However, now I'm having coolant leak from the top hose connection. It's definitely in there completely with the quick connect, so my question is, is there supposed to be some sort of rubber gasket or something inside the connection part of the hose? Logic says there should be but there isn't one. Maybe fell out? Or is the expansion tank defective? TIA

Yeah should be a O ring inside the quick connect thing. Of course you can't buy it separately from the BMW diagrams, comes with the hose.

Actually, I went and took a look at mine and couldn't find the O ring at first. It's not really an O ring but seems to be a rubber grayish ring deep inside the connector.

You didn’t look good enough. Why and how you expect plastic on plastic to seal pressurized hot coolant?
