Wrx vs 335i?
hey guys
i have a 2006 330i i love it but i really what more power..... my buddys have wrx's with cobb. they beat the shit out of them and they hold up very well considering the way my friend drives his he hit red every gear.... let me say one word.. HOLY SHI**** its nuts. there runing stage 2 and they spin all 4 tires on dry... now the problem. i like bmws but for some reson when i get on my car there i all ways seem to have somthing break after a few days? 1. is it worth geting a AWD car? 2. will a 335i with access port beat a wrx?

WRX or WRX STi? and what year? The newest WRX have been beefed up to 264hp.
You can go fast in any car. The question you have to ask yourself is do you want to do it in style? I owned a Stage 2 '04 WRX before my 335xi, and I have to say I love my 335xi

very broad question you're asking, should provide more information on the wrx and if you're looking to just get the 335 w/ the cobb just to beat some dude, i find that ignorant, do some more research.

Not to mention the turbo lag is horrible. That was my #1 complaint about my WRX.

Turbo lag? Brake boost or use some NOS to get you spooled up .. HAHA i would hate to see you guys in a car with a gt40 or a t3t4 57trim.63ar OP , you gotta pay to play man thats just the way life is, i had a car i couldnt daily cuz i was always repairing shit on it but i had a secondary car so it was all good. At anytime a car can break, if you want bulletproof then drop 25k in mods , fully built motor, tranny, and suspension .. Its about how deep your pockets want to go and what you would like to sacrifice plus a lot of luck on your side

Raw performance, somewhat econo car look/feel interior = WRX/STI
Refined performance, luxury look/feel interior = 335 I use to have a wrx so I know a decent amount about those cars. The recent designs have better interiors but make no mistake its no bmw or even a VW Gti puts it to shame. They just have a cheap feel to them. Feels light and hollow compare to any BMW. A tuned 335 shouldn't have any trouble with any wrx/sti unless they upgraded their turbos. All comes down to what you want out of your car. Balance between luxury, refinement and performance. Alan

Only problem is GTI is fwd. If I went the Vdub route I would go with a 2008 R32. When I was upgrading from my 04 WRX my 3 choices were 07 STi, 08 R32, and an 07-08 335xi.
