Pretty quick (a couple business days after it was delivered to them). I would look up all the shipping options available to you and go with the cheapest (USPS, FedEx, UPS).

USPS's flat-rate-boxes are worth looking into, specifically, since the weight doesn't matter there. I ended up waiting and combining several items together (transmission fluid, diff fluid, brake fluid, engine oil, filters, etc.) and shipping a larger box via FedEx ground, and it was cheaper overall.

Put them back on the original box, tighten up the lids, zip tie them in a plastic bag, and ship it off. You can get a shipping refund through PayPal.

If you pay with PayPal, on the transaction details page (of PayPal), you'll see something that says get return shipping on us. You can either submit a claim for up to $30 (IIRC) or for most sales, it will allow you just print a label. FCP has always had the print a label option since they made that feature available on PayPal.

It's really dope. You can do it 12 times per calendar year too.

I posted this on an FCP Euro YouTube video and they deleted it. Twice.

Yes it is valid in Canada.

You need to “activate” this feature before you can use it. The good news is you only need to activate it once.

Just sent two packages back to FCP. I don’t believe we Canadians get the option to just print a label, but under this program PayPal will refund up to CAD$30 per order. That should cover most if not all of any return.

Damn man if they deleted the same comment twice they must really not want this info getting out there.

But seriously tho, that’s interesting. I would think this is simply to reduce the number of people taking advantage of their Lifetime Guarantee for oil (or anything, for that matter), but also wonder whether PayPal has anything to do with it. I’m sure both companies would rather you not use those services ha…

Shipping used and contaminated, with heavy metals, oil around the country to save $50 is absolutely bonkers! FCP should stop doing it, and people need to think hard before they take advantage of it.

I don't think it will last forever, particularly with the PayPal aspect making it so easy now.

I'm not sure I see your point, though. The oil is recycled, whether you send it to them or take it locally. And it's saving $50. Every time. Forever.

It's 7 quarts of used motor oil, not the Exxon Valdez. Relax.

Everything you are returning can go in the same box back. You can also return multiple items from different original purchases at the same time. However, if you are using PayPal free return shipping, that only applies to items you originally had shipped through PayPal after activating the free return shipping.

FCP seems great, but I can tell you they shipped me fake Bosch coils that were Chinese junk. I put them in and every single one misfired within 7 miles. Sure, they give you a refund, but they are selling fake parts and I think they know it.
