I don't remember exactly. I think it was $280. All windows 'cept front 35%.

When I run, one of my runs is to baxter...takes me about 20 mins at a 7.5 min mile pace. Baxter is so far away from any real residential except the Valley Lakes subdivision and that is so far from ghetto. Its a conservation type community. Go north of that and you are in unincorporated areas and yes it is a bit icky, but its not RL. I own a a 2 br rental home in that area and I wouldn't live there. Yes, I am a slumlord.

Lol I was just trying to put salt in the wound. Only thing that she complained about was the drive. Pretty sure it was a good hour or so with traffic.

I know.

I'm 41...night vision not as good as it used to be. I should get laser, but I only really have issues at night.

I used to wear glasses and one day I just stopped. My vision improved on its own and I don't need them any more. Even at night I am OK through a clear window.

Fronts only suck when ur backing up and have to look through the side mirror. Other than that it makes it easier to see at night since it keeps the cabin darker. At least that's how I feel.

I AM SO MAD!!!!!! So I was in the city on nov. 1st my car was parked on the street. Well when i was leaving there was a cop parked behind me and i got in my car and left. He didnt pull me over or anything. But today I got a letter in the mail for $250 tint ticket. I have 35% all windows. Isnt that legal? what should I take in with me to court to prove to them, and also does anyone know where I would have to go to court for this?

Follow the instructions on the ticket on how to contest it and take a copy of the law with you. You might also want to take with you a copy of a high school US History textbook and highlight the chapter on "How a bill becomes a law". Paying particular attention to when a veto is overridden.

my buddy just got a tint ticket yesterday for $250. he bought the car with tints already installed so he doesn't know the %, can he take it in to a tint shop and have them measure it? I am hoping he can contest it because he also got a $150 ticket for no city sticker which he cannot fight

ya know I am sick of chicagos BS stance on tickets with the new Take as much money as possible from the people position.

I have had more tickets in the past year than I have had al my life in the city in 2009.

My last one was while i was parked at Ohare Remote parking lot for $85 .... no front plate. WTF.. they are walking around the parking lots of ohare now looking for this kind stuff. What about the gang bangers killing people? Its getting to be ridiculous....

dont get me started on the parking meter deal.

So whats the deal on the bill for tinting.... anyone know any updates?

It passed and was suppose to be effective immediately but a certain source tells me they're going to enforce it until jan. 1st

Do we know if this is effective immediately or on Jan 1st? I just got a suprise ticket in the mail for $250 for earlier this month.

Someone went into a dark garage and said I had tint which at 35% you could not tell in that lighting. This is pretty ridiculous they are walking into garages and giving out tickets.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but was curious to hear if anyone has had any issues two months into the new law? Because come spring I'm putting the tints back on the fronts so hopefully all cities are aware of this by now.

I got a tinted window ticket when i was parked back in November AFTER the law was passed. The law was effective late October. I'm contesting it and they finally gave me a court date for the first week of April. I got the receipt of where i had my tints done that shows my percentage and the date i got my tints which was after the law was passed. I also have a printout of the actual bill too which I'm bringing to court and i always keep those in the glove now just in case some cop tries to act stupid about my tints if i get pulled over.
