Installing 335is (PPK) Aux Radiator - Fitment Issues

For a bit of background, I'm in the middle of a 2009 e92 335i build:
  • Upgrading to M-Sport Front Bumper
  • Fog Light Delete with LCI Oil/Rad Cooler Ducting
  • 335is (PPK) Aux Radiator Install
  • Pure600's with Inlets/Outlets
  • + lots of supporting mods

So I got around to a test fit on ECS's Genuine BMW PPK aux radiator kit today. After removing the bumper support bar and the radiator support bracket, I was able to replace the old bracket with the new, which includes studs to mount the cooler onto. What I realized after all of this is that the rubber/metal grommet used on the radiator is the same size as the mounting studs so there is no way to put a nut on the end.

I played around a bit with not using the metal washer but I wasn't confident in that being a good solution. Wondering if anyone has installed this kit and what they found. I'm thinking ECS just has some QA issues, but I'm not sure how as these parts should be Genuine BMW.

I'm not really in a position where I can modify this myself unfortunately I need to run this kit to make the fog light delete work well. Might end up asking my neighbor who is a career mechanic if he can help me modify the mount to work. Before I go begging him, figured I'd see what you all thought here. Thanks!

I used regular washers and compressed the rubber a little until the threads catch. Or you can just trim/cut those to fit.
