The pixels are dead or something. The lines are areas where it should be pixelated but aren't. From your pics it looks like yours is going in and out. Might be wiring if it's fine one minute and then all funky the next.

First thing abouth this site is it has sub boards

First thing about this site is it has sub boards
The sub boards will give you specific information about a lot of topics.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=378

You have to take and average of three or four readings with the oil to
get and actual idea of where its at. You also have to run the motor for about 10 minutes before you get a reading. I wouldn't start adding oil till you have
gotten three measurements on three separate occasions and the only add a little at a time. Also it can take awhile for the level to update so you have to go through the whole process of taking three measurement again. If you watch your oil level this is a pain in the you know what.

The display on the radio is known to go bad especially in hot climates.

If you want to put an aftermarket head unit in there are side effects you have to be aware of . You also have to know which system you are starting
with. If you are starting with the L7 the BMW amp will be useless
and you will have to replace that to.

the go to place in your area for BMW stereo is
Unexpected Creations in I think its Edison. NJ.
Most car stereo shops don't know how to do BMW's
The electronics between the stereo and rest of the car is
intertwined and its not easy to get a good result. There
have been many horror storys.

Start browsing the the stereo board to get an idea of whats
possible.
