I know that both auto check and Carfax can both be worked around in a lot of cases, especially with the way some states handle things and by doing out-of-state body work etc...but they're def worthwhile. My question is, you say Autocheck is more thorough, why / how?

I didn't mean that Autocheck is more thorough. I heard stories that sometimes issues don't show up on carfax but may show up on Autocheck, and vice versa. I would always check both, just to make sure.

I just bought a Z3M, for example; the Carfax report showed only 1 owner, but the Autocheck report showed 2 owners. However, the last reported mileage of the car was more up-to-date on the Carfax report.

That may be true, but it's good to check both, just to be sure.

FYI - most forums have rules against this, such as this one:
8) No Commercial Posts or Activity We have very strict Anti-spam policies here and we will be deleting posts/banning users without notice when the post is a commercial post made by a non community sponsor. If you happen to see these types of posts on the forum, we urge you to report these members to us. Commercial/advertising usernames, signatures, avatars, etc. are reserved strictly for site sponsors.
Autocheck's offer is 25 checks for 21 days. At $5 each, you could have just made some money for yourself at the expense of the forum.

Maybe I'm wrong, but a guy offering up $5 AutoCheck's isn't exactly an established commercial enterprise. While he may make some coin selling off his remaining reports, he's also saving others some coin at the same time. I wouldn't call it spam, which is what I would interpret Rule 8 to be aiming to address.
