4.5 hours is good. It's only a 1 day event? That's lame. 9 hours of driving in one day sucks. We should stay in town a rip it up.

Nope 3.5''. Issue is rev 1 hangs too low and you have to remove your X brace in the rear. The rev 2 should have much better(higher) fitment that will let you leave your X brace on and the choice of a race(loud) or street(quiet) mufflers.

If you want a 3.5'' now the Turner Corsa exhaust has no fitment issues and it a true 3.5'' http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-17...st-system.aspx $1400 or !560 if you go with the black tips which I would.

I've been holding out for the VRSF because it will be 1/2 the price of the Corsa. As exhausts don't give us much performance at all on this platform and it's mainly sound/weight savings. I mean what's his face did 680whp on stock frames with the stock e92 exhaust & catless 3'' DPs so yeah.

I'm not doing the Turner caravan, but I'll most likely head down Friday and stay two nights. At least be able to enjoy Saturday night after early detailing + long day at the show.

Opps Derp on that one. I was thinking 4" as I know one guy on here has a custom setup with it and I kinda wanted to do the same.....

Ya holding out on VRSF race version I guess it will be a lot cheaper then custom at this point.

This is what happens when I do repairs, more things break! Driveshaft just exploded when I was dropping off a friend in Littleton. Fckshtgdmit

Tell me about it. I made the mistake of leaving my windows down. I now have a nice protective pollen layer inside to protect my interior.

In the morning on Friday, I heard a couple of strange click sounds from the drivetrain, and a slight hiccup in power, and i wondered if perhaps the throwout bearing was going on the clutch or something, made a note to get my mechanic to look at it first thing Monday.

I was driving from Waltham to Littleton, went through the back roads of Lincoln, Concord, Carlisle, Westford, etc. Some really pretty roads in there!

As I was going through Lincoln, I started noticing some serious vibration and metal-on-metal sounds from the drivetrain, but only under hard turns, so I took it easy. Dropped off my friend in Littleton, and got about half a mile from the house on my way back to route 2, and boom! the whole car shakes, shifter moves about six inches left and then right a few times. I pulled off and peered underneath, and the universal joint where the front prop shaft meets the xdrive transfer case was completely disconnected, the cross bearing gone, and the two yokes just banking about against each other.
was able to drive about 1 mile an hour with the prop shaft dragging on the front underbody shield and get into a parking lot...

had it towed back to my friend's, and got a ride back to the city. i'll go back out tomorrow with some tools, and take off the driveshaft, drive it back to Somerville on RWD only

that's the quickest i've had a u-joint fail, usually there are vibrations and/or noises for a few weeks or even months.
