Hey Jim,

I would be checking out www.technicpnp.com - they are a small company in the states that make wiring harnesses for the BMW range. I'm currently hanging out for a Line Out Converter with harness adaption for a sub.

I had a quick look on their site, I think this is what are you after here:
https://technicpnp.com/product/7ch-h...hk674-harness/

Regards,
Jard

Cheers Jard, I wasn't aware of these ones - looks like they might be a little better quality than the ebay one...

They look like it, it might cost a bit more but it seems to be a good fit for you.
Hope this helped.

Hey Socket, I have been trying to do the same thing Jim is trying to do. Usually with other cars I would just make the amp/sub/headunit setups by splicing wires. This time around I thought I wanted a plug and play system so I didn't have to damage the wires just to make it work. I decided to do some research and I came across this site in the states. It's the only one that I can find so far that would make the process easier and less messy.

I currently have a harness coming from them, JimiP , if you can wait I can give my feedback on the quality when it arrives.

Hey JimiP The harness arrived finally from the states.
The quality of it is quite good and feels very OEM, even the cabling connections are all sleeved well. For my particular case where i'm trying to add a subwoofer it came with a line out converter which does what it supposed to do but visually looks a little cheap.

Would still recommend it as long as you have the time to wait for the delivery from the US with everything that is going on.

Hey Socket,

Yeah, I guess it really depends on how fussy people are with their wiring. I have read a lot that people seem to use more of a straight cut/solder or a T-Clip solution for the audio. I guess I'm a little bit more fussy and wanted something that wasn't going to damage the original wiring and this seems to be the best option I have found so far.

thanks Jimi

So for this install it connects between the factory amp and the OEM wiring harness and provides a female/male clip where you connect your line out converter which has female RCA's from there.
