What is this?..

Can anyone identify this option/function?... I can see that they're sport seats, but I don't have this on my car. More of a curiosity than anything. Thanks in advance.

thats an e92...which is a 2 door coupe. My guess would be a power assist to push the seat forward so your passengers can help themselves up and out of the car...

It is for power assisting the seat forward from the standing position.

It is the ejection function in which it engages the small rockets under the seat and propel you from your car out the window at ripping speeds.

All coupes have that. I think the manual one is more effective though...I wonder how fast those power ones move the seat.

that's unfortunate if they went to electric motors instead of the simple manual latch. it's going to take 3 minutes to get in or out of the back seat!

There's a handle looking square right above the bottons that look like it can be pulled. Maybe it's just me seeing things....

in my dad's S4 Cab they actually move really quick. Tried it in a 330 convert, and was not impressed, Audi has that function down.

Oh dude! Now the coupe doesn't feel so restricting for some reason to me. Haha. I always thought it was a pain in the ass to have to push the seat forward for someone to get in and out. Now it's just a button. Hurray!

That'd be tight! Even less fingerprints to worry about.

Speaking of doors though, the suction close feature that the 7 series has is freakin' awesome. All you have to do it get the door to contact the door jamb (don't have to push it closed) and it closes it itself. That's so awesome. If that was an $1,000 feature (Convenience Package) on the E90, I would have been all over it.
