I think this must be from the seat since that's generally the area I found it in. But before I take the time to disconnect everything, does anyone know what this is or where I should start the hunt?

yep, seat track. Kind of hard to snap it back on. I was never able to get the passenger side track to stay on ever since it came off. Maybe i'm not snapping it on correctly.
