BMW won't be at the Philly Auto Show 2/1

Hearing that BMW NA is not willing to pony up the $$$ to support. During 2018 regional dealers supported the BMW NA golf championship. However now hearing that the dealers were expecting NA to support for the auto show, but funds never came through.

I'm sure there is more to this story, what have you heard?

Feels like a real let down. It has been an annual tradition to attend with my father and a friend.

I heard some other car companies are not showing up to various car shows in various cities. It was not clear why either.

Glad you pointed this our since the wife is in the market for a new car, and BMW was on the list to look for a X3 or X5, she does not like the X4. We were going to go to cover as many makes as possible in one place.

A lot of manufacturers do not go to the Philadelphia auto show. Past years BMW locked all of their cars up.

Yeah I remember that a few years back they would not let you sit in the car unless you convince them you were in the market.

Most people go to the Philadelphia car show to take the volume knobs. I only see very few "serious" shoppers there.
