satellite not working
so i have a 2008 335i that is $693 sat prep wired but didn't have a sirius reciever in the trunk...i purchased a used reciever/bracket and installed and connected it all up...enabled SDARS to vehicle order then re coded using pro tool....SAT appears in the IDRIVE but isn't highlighted and won't connect to sirius service...my understanding is that i don't have to re-arrange most bus wiring in back seat if pre wired???...but took a look just to be sure..looks like they are already in the spots they should be in?....any advice would be welcome.

The most connector with fewer connections is storage for the prewiring.
Disassemble the most connector that has fewer connections. Shine a flashlight down the fiber and look for the light in the sat connector fiber. When you find the 2, add them to the most connector that has more connections. You will need to slide the fiber wrapped in black plastic over one slot to make room for the 2 new pieces of fiber. The fiber that runs forward in the car needs to be the first and last of the series. |

When the fiber is apart, shine a flashlight down the fiber and you will see a white dot at the other end. That is how you identify the 2 pieces that go to the sat. When correctly patched in the connectors above, a red light will appear in one of the fiber that goes to the sat.
