Upgraded inlets?
Anyone upgrade their inlets so far? VRSF has a pre-order going for $269.99 I saw VTT & RB are having some stupid forum war over inlets and hoses or something pathetic.
VRSF to the rescue (with a better price point too) http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-upgrade...i-e90-e92.html |

Not I as I don't believe their are gains on 93 and stock turbos.
Full E85 on a kill tune sure, proven.

I got VTT with Rbs . Huge increase in power especially in the high rpms where boost is held more now . Also having less wgdc gives ur turbos more breathing room .

I would wait and buy the VRSF intakes but that is just me.
I assume bimmer72 would install them. Just remember if you let other's work on your car you are a cuckold Hadley

I'm in the RB group buy w/fittings on NfiftyfourTech. Will be waiting to see how the Hexon RR550s perform long-term on 93/light E85 usage before planning to do both for next year.

Any reason you went with those inlets vs. VRSF/MMP style?

Whatever you guys do , do not buy RB turbos ! Get any inlet out there but stay away from those turbos . Piece of crap only lasted 3k miles before they started to smoke . If I were to do it again it would be VTT stage 2+s that cost 3500 now ! With his inlets .

I feel bad for you bro. Such BS. It's cuz of the massive smoking issues I didn't want his inlets. So much BS went back and forth between RB and VTT during the whole thing. I can't stand Tony. Those Pure's look like they are putting up great numbers...still don't understand why no one has a dyno of Hexons at full tilt.

Wedge has Dynos or Hexon R550. Really good stuff for the price point. I am also in group buy for RB inlets and considering Hexons as well!

I think the concept of silicone piping will handle the heat better and prove to be more reliable. I helped install the VTT piping on an E61, so I got a sense of the quality. I'd like to see more of the VRSF stuff, but haven't had a chance yet. TFT is out of the range of what I want to spend.

I like the VRSF as it's the least restrictive inlets like the MMP which flow a bit better and have less of a Delta between the front and back RB or VTT pipes. Reliable I think the metal pipes will be a bit more. But neither should be an issue. As far as handling heat it's going into a glowing red turbo Just need some meth in your life to fix and air intake temp issues! I just don't like the idea of the install...

Apparently Vargas had a big shipment of inlets come in yesterday
https://instagram.com/p/8eXgRWGzj2/?...by=vargasturbo I think my turbo's are on the way out, if so and if they need to be replaced I'm thinking installing inlets will be much easier to do if it is done as the turbos are swapped. Hmm.. decisions! |
