Shipping Tires and Rims from MI to CA?

I need to ship my oem rims and tires from Michigan to Los Angeles. What is the cheapest/safest way of doing this and from which shipping method?

Should I put each individual rim in its own box with bubble wrap or cardboard cut outs around the rim w/ bubble wrap ? Is it cheaper to group them or send them separately?

UPS ground. Go to the store and they'll help out. I priced out shipping 2 tires individually vs. both banded together, it was within a dollar or two. In the end it doesn't matter much. Even with multiple boxes, they track it as one shipment with multiple containers. For four tires+wheels, you can expect the price to be $150-200 from Michigan to Cal. I actually priced out the tires from Michigan to Cali and it was $95.

I've shipped through Greyhound before and everything seemed to be okay. I don't remember how much it cost me though. Saran wrapping them and putting cardboard around them should be okay as far as the shipping goes.

We use FedEx, and when we ship wheel/tire combos, it's two wheels per box. Each wheel is wrapped with saran wrap, and has cardboard on each side of it.
