pilot sport 4s on staggered style 193

I would like to try out the new ps4s but there is only one size available for 18", 245/40.
Stock calls for 225/40 up front and 255/35 out back. I am xdrive so I am not worried about losing a little width in back and the slightly larger diameter should make the speedo more accurate.
Is there any reason I should not do it?

No reason not to do it, speedo is almost dead on with 245/40/18. The smaller tire in the rear with the larger in front make it handle a significant amount better. 245/40 will fit just fine on the staggered 193m wheels.

Lol it's a half inch stagger. 245 fits fine on 8" and 8.5"

thanks for the help guys, that is what I am going to go with. They are not listed on costco's site but i called and they said they can order them, $191 each, works out about $30 more expensive buying through them than tire rack because of the tax but they are great about the road hazard warranty.
I am going to stop in and order/drop off my wheels next week though it might be a while before I switch to summer tires.

Too bad you just missed the $70 off at Costco by a couple weeks. Tire rack has a $70 rebate that your local Discount Tire should match though.

Costco gave me such a hassle with putting non-rft wheels on a car with factory rfts

I have heard they can be a pain but last winter when I dropped off my wheels to get winters mounted they didn't say anything about them being go-flats and they went out of their way to mark which corner each went on and bagged them up nicely for me to take home. I dont know if they just have a good staff or it is because they were off the car.

Have you had any rubbing issues with 245/40/18 ? I'm thinking of getting a summer setup with pilot sport 4s as well but I'm not sure if the front won't rub on style 193 rims.
