Dont Shop with AVIN: No Support

Having worked with many on this sight, I have to report back on my purchase experience with AVIN.
Having once been a fan of AVIN & purchasing their product, I can whole heartedly recommend you dont use them. I experienced unacceptable audio flaws in their product, and they have gone silent on me for 30 days, not responding to my many email & phone requests for return & refund, even though that is their policy.
Seems very short sighted & a real lack of customer service. Im not trying to resolve this through PayPal & will update on how that goes & if this changes.

Can you link to the exact product you bought so we can avoid. Thanks.

UPDATE: Got my RMA number last night.

Well after 3 weeks of not having a response, I recieved my RMA number last night & am processing my return. So assuming that all goes well Ill update this thread accordingly. I wish I didnt have to go to the forums for help with that, or maybe it was a cooincidence, but I will keep everyone posted.

Lol the only thing avin has going for it compared to the aliexpress ahu is the USA support and stock. If they can't provide that, then there is no point in going through them

I'm less worried about the lack of support than I am the audio quality.

Do *any* of the Android units have good sound?
People talk about putting thousands of dollars into speakers and amps and then install these avin and AliExpress units that sound horrible!

You get you pay for and you pay for what you get.
These units are selling for really low prices compared to
a double din unit from a name brand trusted vendor.
Whats worse is some of the piggy back units use the Aux
as and Input to the rest of the system.
Your sound is only as good as the weakest link in the system.
At least Dynavin is making an attempt at good Head Unit Sound.

Ehhh I dunno. I just don't like the look of it.
Partly, I don't like my eyes being pulled *that* far from the road. I shouldn't have to look down to adjust the radio.

The iDrive/CIC/NBT look I just appreciate more. And pretty much all of the idrive imitation units sound like garbage due to low quality audio DACs, and especially due to feeding audio through the aux-in, which in a BMW is particularly low quality. Streaming bluetooth, which is known to be very lossy, has better audio quality than the aux-in jack.
And yet, that's the only way the android i-drive-lookalike systems are designed to get audio to the speakers.

At this point, I'm just going for a full NBT Evo install.

I think that solution is sweet & would have considered it, but NO solution for the e70.
Also, I like maintaining the natural look of my system.
I went with the unichip carplay box that plugs inline with my system & could not be happier. Audio is GREAT which was a real problem with all other solutions. Super happy.

My system has *great* audio quality, factory touch screen and idrive wheel control of carplay, and generally it just works perfectly. Automatically connects to my iphone for carplay and my android for calls.

Still needs a little work to look clean though...

I'm hoping it'll work well for a long time.
It is a factory audio/nav system from a 2017 M4.

OK so I missed the back story here. What the heck did you do? Did you do a full on retrofit of a current type NBT/EVO into your older model? Very cool, let me know the details.
