I had it retrofitted. They had to change the whole instrument cluster even though it looks completely the same as the one without the CC.
Wasn't cheap but I couldn't live without it. It lets me drive all the time exactly 10 kph over the speed limit. If I get caught driving 11 kph over the limit I'll get a 100 € ticket.

I was curious, does the stalk function for changing maps work when the engine is on and you have CC engaged? Or does it only work when the ignition is at the on position without the car?

I just ask because of the frequency I use CC, I don't want to change maps by knocking off the CC by holding the stalk down to long.

From my interaction with it, you have to have the car off but all the gauges active to change maps.

I can change maps while driving using the cruise control lever. I just can't clear adaptations or go into the other specialty menus without turning off the engine.

That is correct. Engine RPM and Roadspeed must be 0 before you can enter the Command Center

Awesome to hear, glad I won't accidentally switch maps turning off my cruise control while going 70mph.

Map switching is active while the car is running but you have to hold the lever in place for a few secs. Tapping the lever will disengage cruise control without changing maps.

ID LOVE TO HAVE CRUISE CONTROL on my M3.......the 1 feature it doesnt have that I would have liked. It is a literally a pain in my ankle to drive more than 2 hours on the highway w that car.

I have to agree that it tends to be a pain in the ass when driving across western europes motorways. I spend most of the year in London where it is absolutely useless and the rest of the year I drive around central and eastern europe where I tend to use expressways, b-roads/countryroads - even more useless. Thats why it never even crossed my mind to tick the CC option on the list, especialy as I have a MT.

I have no idea how complex of a hardware the CC is and how complicated the instalation would be. Im was just thinking, would it be possible to fit the CC joystick just to use as Proceede inerface instead of retrofitting the entire cruise control instalation? Anyone?

OK, where can I find documentation, what all the log channels' names mean? Debug word 2, debug byte 2, etc. I couldn't find it on vishnu forum.

Would be great if they put one together. There's none to my knowledge, just scattered here in various posts.

If you look at the "Units" in each of the debug channels, it will explain what it represents. But you will have to select them one by one and view them for that. In the next software update, we are given them proper names so we can get our debug channels back for R&D!

Right, I know that, but I think what he was (or at least what I was) referring to is a more descriptive text, like a few sentences long on each one, which I saw at one point someone here had put together even, but can't find it anymore...

I was logging my dyno runs yesterday and I don't know which channel means what. Can you help?

Btw, I think I set a new world dyno record on pump gas, no meth. What's the highest whp number so far? Will make a thread later today.

would be nice to have a guide stating which channels are absolutely necessary to monitor how the engine is doing or what you Shiv is looking for in the logs.
