this would be sweet because on cold starts the waste gates rattle like no other for the first 30-45secs till the exhaust flap opens then it goes away. i figure, have this as a default map so i dont have to listen to that crap in the morning or late at night.
cant wait for this to happen! teri

The NA mode will be easy to implement thanks to absolute (non-piggyback) wastegate control and CAN integration. We just want to finish wrapping up the v4 performance bits and user adjustables first. So probably 2-3 weeks out.

I would rather have an honest to god procede bypass - 0 signal modification by the PROCEDE just log in and enable the mode on your way to the dealership - no reason to suspect there is anything in the ECU compartment, would be perfect for minor service like oil changes

Combined with a couple extra pounds of pressure in the tires for during the week commutes (or long trips), an extra 4mpg could pay for the Procede in 5 years. But you would have to use the eco mode most of the time. Even if you just used it a third of the time it could help pay for some additional mods...

Quite interesting. I drove 200 miles round trip from Vent County to Fontana in a 2010 328i, averaged 26mpg. Did the same trip in my 335i 2 days later and got 32mpg. I think perhaps I was driving the 335i a little more conservatively considering the 328i has to be floored to just keep up with traffic at times! But seriously, many others have recorded over 30mpg in their tuned 335i BMWs (keeping off the boost). I really believe the DI is inherently more efficient than the 328i setup. FYI...the new 335i N55 EPA Hwy rating is exactly the same as the 328i. 28mpg I believe.

Very easy to implement but there are some more useful and functional features we are working on now. Once they are done, I suppose would add another map to the mix that offers exciting NA performance for those who want to feel what a 150hp n54 feels like.

Lately I have challenged myself to stay in vacuum all the time while I drive to see what kind of mileage I can get, and my last fillup I got 27mpg with mixed driving! It was incredible!
Please implement this map, Shiv! It would be a feature that I know I would use every single day on my 50+ mile commute. I love showing people the incredible mileage figures this car can make, and then burying the pedal only to be slammed back into our seats.

If you make this another map, will the autotune map have to re-learn each time you switch back and forth?
It's an interesting option to have. I'd use it as a daily driving mode, but if I saw an interesting race possibility, it'd be kinda useless as I'd have to switch maps (not hard) but the autotuned map would only give me pre-learned low boost, right? |

Same here.
Took a 331.6 mile long trip (actually longer, but this where i reset the trip at the gas station) Filled up with a full tank and drove about 55 miles. Stopped and picked up two passengers. Front passenger weighs about 160ish, rear passenger probably weighs 200ish. Most of the trip was with the windows down, except for the last 20-30 miles, then used A/C to keep the windows from foggin up. On the drive back, it was just me. Mostly with the windows down, except for about 10-20 miles (then used a/c) The dash was saying <30 miles for fuel. Pulled into the exact same station and pump, and it took 12.354 gallons 331.6 / 12.354 = 26.84 mpg! To say the least, im impressed! Towing an extra 360 pounds for about 110miles using a little a/c for about 30-50 miles all while pushin a little boost after toll booth stops. I'm happy with that!
