Sucks big time for Chevy,

seems the American car manufacturers cant catch a break these days. The Cruze is actually a nice car. But this type of negative publicity definately doesnt help the image. To me they made the Cruze out to be the "car" to change things for GM.

Guess they have to head back to the drawing boards....

Steering wheel falls off or accelerator gets stuck? It's like a horrible game of Russian Roulette where I always lose!

I'm amazed that this process error was even possible on the assembly line!

We can't forget that the K-Car was the car to change things for Chrysler!

The Chevy Volt actually has a really innovative design. The heat from the gas engine is used to heat up the battery on cold starts in the winter so the battery.

...only problem is I still question Chevy's workmanship. I've driven Chevy's from Silverado's to Cobalts and I still have problems with them. Granted they were rentals. Of course, they're serious problems. I had a Cobalt lose all power on me when the ABS kicked in on a country road. Almost went into the ditch because in front of me was a bend in the road.

Ford on the other hand...I'd actually consider buying one. At the Toronto car show, I didn't see a Ford that I wouldn't buy if I had to consider getting American. They've improved a lot in the last few years and they were the only American company to do it without government help. Says a lot.
