Can you give me a bit more info on this, did you retrofit it to your car and are you sure it bolts onto an E92?

What is involved in fitting? I've seen threads but it isn't always clear.

When you say the harness is as complete as can be, does it splice or plug into the loom on the car?

Thanks. Sorry for all the questions!

Your question prompted me to check on the E92 and I discovered it is a different part number for E92 and E93. What the extent of the differences are is an unknown as other manufacturers seem to offer a one fits all towbar.

Do you still want details of how to fit?

Okay, that seems to be consistent with what my research suggests. It will probably bolt right on, but might end up 1mm too close to the rear bumper to meet the legislation, or something along those lines!

Yes, the info on how to fit would still be really useful to myself and possibly a potential buyer, if you don't mind .

There is a lot of reading material in this thread https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...towbar+vo+code

However its basically a run of wiring from back to front, 4 (from memory) fuses in the fuse board into vacant slots which you insert the wires into first. Some wires at FRM and CAS.
Connection at the back to the rear light and a few other wires ie. CAN bus, ground, button.

There is/was a retrofit harness available but it was no longer available for my E91 by the time I did my installation so I made my own.

Coding the car with the option code and away you go.

I have now updated the ebay listing with more detailed pictures. I removed the wiring harness today and saved all factory connections. It is as plug and play as BMW intended.

The AHM is the latest 4R unit.
