Remus + Downpipe mod

Hey guys, So I have the Remus Race Exhaust (Part no, REM088906 0500LR)
for my e90 n55

I wanted to go catless downpipes, and eventually FBO - but all off the sound clips I've heard of catless downpipes with my exhaust sound awful.

Should I go catted? Or does anyone know of a good setup that can help with this?

Thanks

You could sell me your Remus and I'll give you my awesome PE modded exhaust!

It's going to be pretty loud with the Remus going catless but videos don't do it justice anyways. I didn't like the sound of mine on videos before I went catless with my pe mod and in person it sounds phenomenal. To each their own though

I have a Remus race. Went catless, changed back to oem DP. Sounded horrendous.

Damn... I really want to get it too stage 2, but I don't want to sacrifice my Remus exhaust if the sound is going to be awful.

I think that would be the best sound ever. just go fully catless if you don't care about the smell, but If you want to make sure it sounds good I say resonators are a must when you are catless.
yeah I saw this video, unfortunatley icarbon doesn't exist anymore, and he doesn't actually say his setup for his exhaust in this video

it doesn't matter what downpipe you get, it's just a piece of metal. they will all sound more or less the same.
he must have a different setup, because every other video I have found of my remus exhaust setup with a catless downpipe has sounded brutal.

A gentleman above on this post (aaron)said it himself, and returned it back to stock downpipe

This is why I made this post in the first place.

Never said I was on stock tune

When the catless vrsf was installed I had a custom mhd tune. When I reverted back to oem dp, I changed back to oem tune. Stock tune with stock DP and Remus race sounds fantastic

If I had my time over I’d have bought a catted DP and Remus street and possibly installed resonators as well - good balance of power and sound. Too late - not spending more $ on this car :-)

I would go catted with REMUS, catless + REMUS is too aggressive for most
