08' 335xi Vs. 10' GTI FBO

Hey all, to start off this thread, I do not condone street racing! How ever, ive been thinking. I just came out of a 2010 GTI and into a 2008 335xi. My GTI was pretty much full bolt ons. My 335xi is currently bone stock. I kinda feel like the stock 335xi is faster than my fbo GTI. Any imput on this? or am I just crazy and love BMW's too much

Stage 2 APR tune? That's like 240whp vs the 335ix's ~260hp. GTI is a lot lighter so that might have the edge, but the bimmer's AWD and low-end torque probably makes it feel faster.

Some quick mods and your 335ix will be faster by a good bit.

It was a stage 1 actually, GTI definetly handled better around corners with it being so light. But with FBO on the 335i ill be set. If im not mistaken, with full bolt ons and a MHD ill be close to 400 to the crank.

FBO + MHD has me around 380whp, and that's on 93 pump gas. Mods are in my signature.

All depends on your car how well it's taken care. He's at almost 70k now and he has bean running this set up about 3 years with no problems. Track/street nights racing, and still strong.

Well you can get like jb4. And if you have full bolt one, you can use map 5 auto tune. Throw in 3 gallons of e85 and the rest 92/93 and call it a day, you will easy take the new m3/m4. Before i went single turbo i used to run that set up.

If I were to do the E85 mix, would I need to replace anything prior to running the JB4 and E85?
