The good weather allowed me to get the summer tires on this morning and over to the alignment shop. They said they got their printer fixed... I cleaned up so it's legible, but it still hurts my eyes.. FYI, alignment pins were removed before it went in today when I was swapping the wheels.

I'll be ordering the new bolts to replace the frozen rear camber toe bolts in the back today. But beyond that, what's everyone's thoughts?

Am I seeing this correctly? They're saying the car had 11+ degrees of negative camber on both sides, and 4+ degrees of toe on the left?

Are you sure about that? And if that's what they call getting their printer "fixed", not sure I'd trust them to "fix" my car.

I read the blurry number incorrectly. It's -1.4 left and -1.3 right for the initial front camber.

I only had 10 minutes to clean this up at work before an appointment showed up...

Get some toe arms for the rear and be done with it.

Curious though...you're actually PAYING someone to do this for you and get the job done right; yet you come here seeking free advice to supersede that Maybe find a new shop you trust more? Or better yet, DIY.

Rear camber is "ok"; they should at least get both sides to match though. Agreed. In case you didn't see the hand written note (the only legible part...), there are some bolts in the rear that they could not break loose to make final adjustments. I just picked up those eccentric bolts, washers and nuts at the dealership today to swap out this weekend.

I have unlimited alignments for 3 years at the local NTB. If I didn't have m parts on a non m car, I wouldn't be questioning their job. And I always over think everything. The diy method is interesting though as I do all the work on all of my cars with the exception of tire mounting, balancing and alignments.

For toe arms you want something that gets you away from having to use garbage eccentric bolts to make adjustments. I've had great luck with Manzo rear toe arms and would absolutely buy them again if I had to:

They also have an adjustable upper mount for camber as well...don't have experience with that, but that should eliminate the need for messing with eccentric bolts there as well...and they're cheap!

Maybe this has been answered......but after installing the rear M3 arms ....is an alignment needed even though you didn't touch the arms that adjust toe and camber? I'm assuming that the new M3 arms are the same length as the stamped steel ones....just mad out of aluminum....right?

You always get alignment. Just torque on bushings alone change stuff. As the wheels go up and down, camber and toe changes dynamically

I understand what you are saying.....but driving your car hard also torques and twists the bushings on a daily basis, along with suspension travel.....and doesn't require your car to get realigned all the time.

Does anyone know if the distance between the center of the pivot points on the M3 arms are different than the some measurement on the OEM stamped steel arms?

If yes, well.....that would show that you 100% need to have an alignment done.....but if not, it should be just fine.

Right? Maybe I will get my alignment jigs and strings out this weekend and see where everything is at.

Nah, after swapping mine, neither camber nor toe changed at all.

To be sure, get some quick reading beforehand for camber and toe and then check again after:
Camber - smart phone level app w/ a straightedge
Toe - measuring tape and two 2x4s cut to the same length to check total toe

Depends who does the install and where you live. My Megan Racing toe arms are cherry
