How does a run flat look like...

How does a run flat tire look like after it goes flat and driven on for about 200kilometers?

Story:
Had a flat tire during Easter holidays and wasn't near any dealerships or home. Not that it would matter because they would be closed. (wasn't going to tow the car and grab a cab from 200km's away from home with full family on Easter)

It was a fairly heavy load, x5 with 5 passengers.

Submitted a tire warranty claim and it was denied saying that the tire wore down to its metal component from improper alignment and therefore popped.

The car is aligned and none of the other tires are worn irregularly. I saw the tire when it first went flat and stopped at the nearest gas station to fill it back up. At this time I saw that it was punctured (hit pothole) and wasn't worn as bad as it got after we drove on it.

Fairly dissatisfied warranty holder...

The 3-series has somewhat aggressive toe specs for stock, and even if the car is within spec, you could see irregular wear, unfortunately.

If you post up a pic of your tire it could be easy to determine what the cause of your flat was.

It was for an e70 x5 with five passengers, I wish I took a picture. The interior thread was worn in some areas to the metal component and the exterior of tire was not as worn. The tire was punctured on the outer side when I hit a pothole.

I'm in an argument with the warranty company b/c they said the tire popped due to it being worn out from misalignment. However all my other tires are just fine. I'm under the impression that driving on it with a full car after it popped worn it down completely.

In any case I'm in a battle with bunch of crooks. Never getting tire warranty, waste of money

Whoops, totally overlooked that it was an X5 haha. Because your tires were worn down to the wires, they'll probably deny your warranty, regardless of whether they did or did not blow out from that. Unfortunately most tire warranties would be void at that point.

I gave up with them. Was denied warranty repair. Paid 600 for a tire repair.

The tire wasn't even punctured where it wore down from driving on it flat
